Benjamin M. Camp (Founder and Team Captain)
Benjamin Camp is an actor/creator/teacher working in Philadelphia, and the Artistic Director of Team Sunshine Performance Corporation. He was lead artist for Team Sunshine’s Punchkapow, Terrarium, and Zombie Defense Consultations, as well as a core collaborator on all Team Sunshine projects and events including JapanAmerica Wonderwave and Huddle Live. Benjamin has also had the pleasure of working with Pig Iron Theatre Company Shakespeare in Clark Park, Theatre Horizon and the Rosenbach Museum and Library, among others. Benjamin graduated with a BA Theater Major from Swarthmore College and completed the full program of Lecoq style training in physical theater and ensemble created theater at the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA).
Alex Torra (Resident Director and Reconnaissance Specialist)
Alex Torra is an Associate Artist and former Associate Artistic Director with Pig Iron Theatre Company, where he has worked as a performer in Welcome to Yuba City, PAY UP, 365 Days/365 Plays , and Anodyne ; as assistant director on Chekhov Lizardbrain and Sweet By-and-By; and as director of Come to My Awesome Fiesta, its Going to be Awesome, Okay? Other acting credits include Enjoy (Play Company, NY). Directing credits include: Punchkapow and JapanAmerica (Team Sunshine); Comedy of Errors and Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare in Clark Park); Anaerobic Respiration (The Shifting Company) at the 2005 NY International Fringe Festival. Awards include 2007 Princess Grace Award (Grace Le Vine Theater Award), 2007 Oregon Shakespeare Festival F.A.I.R. Directing Fellowship, and 2006 Drama League Fall Directing Fellowship. Alex received his MFA in directing from Brown University.
Makoto Hirano (Creator/Performer and Sniper)
Makoto Hirano is a Philadelphia-based dance/theatre/spoken word artist. His original performance works have been presented nationally in numerous venues and festivals including Philadelphia Live Arts Festival, Yale University, and the National Asian American Theatre Festival (NYC). Performer/collaborator highlights include work with Bill Irwin, 2 projects with Pig Iron Theatre Company, 3 projects with Subcircle, Nichole Canuso Dance Company and most recently with Thaddeus Phillips/Lucidity Suitcase on the critically acclaimed WHaLE OPTICS. Next up, Makoto begins touring his award-winning solo show, Boom Bap Tourism. A former-U.S. Marine, Makoto studied dance at Columbia College Chicago and earned his BFA at Temple University (PA).
